Exercise Specialists delivering NHS services

Our team of Exercise Specialists have been busy providing two services for the NHS across Norfolk, which works with people living with Dementia.

Reablement & Recovery Pathway

For the last 18+ months EPIC Norfolk have been commissioned by the Norfolk & Waveney ICB to  provide Exercise Specialists to provide skilled falls recovery interventions for patients moving into temporary care following hospital discharge.

This service is vital in ensuring patients can recover from falls and physical deconditioning, to improve their recovery and reduce the risks of being re-admitted to hospital.

Four of our Exercise Specialists are supporting the 28 RRP beds in the Greater Norwich area. Most of the patients have a moderate level of Dementia.

QEH King’s Lynn

After identifying a risk of their patients becoming physically inactive and deconditioning while on hospital wards, The QEH King’s Lynn approached EPIC Norfolk to supply some of our Exercise Specialists to intervene.

Three of our Exercise Specialists visit two of the Dementia wards, twice a week.

This service has been funded through the QEH King’s Lynn Charity and from the profits generated from our events.
